For some reason that song really bugs Glam. He finds it more annoying to listen to than usual. Something about the vocalist...she sings...strangely.

But it's more than that because even covers and parodies have it...dunno, not a music man, lack the vocab.

Could be because Lorde has an amazing voice, and the girl singing this parody is really amateurish in comparison. The beauty here is undeniably the lyrics, the creativity and knowledge backing how they lambast the commonplace Pokemon X/Y meta is just, just brilliant.
Beethoven: I say my audience - are you ready to hear some symphonies?
Audience: *cheers, shouting and applause*
Beethoven: I can't hear youuuu!

Dewgong + Anything = Hilarious.

Do Dewgong + Jynx! She'll be racist AND albino!

(Also, Zufairy is terrifying...)

And vice versa for good measure.

Dude. Hahaha. Jyngong looks like the awkward love baby of the grimace and lady gaga.

Edit: Jynpix had to be done. It looks like a demented Littlest Pet Shop character

Am I stupid for not enjoying new Pokemon entries such as Black & White or X & Y? I mean. I like Pokemon. I own an original Gameboy Pocket (not micro) with Pokemon Red, and I like playing Yellow version when i'm on my phone at school. But never had I taken a big interest into the series after completing Diamond and SoulSilver. I felt the game was too repetitive with each new version. Even if there are new features, I only see it narrowing down to the same goal.

BTW as for my Pokemon Diamond, which I still own, I am completely annoyed and ticked off with it. I bought it used at Gamestop like months after I had gotten my DSi the game had never worked. I kept getting an error message saying stuff like it cant read my data. Months even later the game started working. I played through it, beat it, had a lvl 100 Dragonite, lvl 7-? Shiny Raquaza (freakin beauty) and the game decides to pull the same error off.

On your interest - Pokemon is really a franchise that has varied holding power for different people. You can be really interested in it as a casual player, just collecting all the ones you can, levelling them, exploring and playing the side games / battles and stuff. Or, you can be really into it hardcore, and get into competitive and meta play online which believe me - gets dirty and complicated. By that same thing though - you can get bored of it extremely quickly as a casual player, because yeah - the basic front of it at a casual level is just about the same for every game. Start with a pokemon, go find / capture and battle other pokemon. And it can be just as offputting to a more serious player, due to pacing problems in the main game, and repetitive and frustrating meta online combined with (what seems like without help from a more experience player) too much investment to get into the competitive scene.

tl;dr - I get where you're coming from. There are reasons to not get into the newer pokemon games - there are also some good reasons to get into it.

Pokemon is the CoD of RPGs, and just as popular.

Hah, as bad as that sounds I do see where you draw that comparison. However I disagree with that statement on the basis that Pokemon innovates and experiments far too much to be considered a CoD. If you don't know what I'm talking about, try and name 3 CoD games that aren't first person shooters - and for every one you do, I'll name 5 pokemon games that aren't turn based RPG"s.

Call of Duty 1 (Mobile Phone)
Call of Duty 2 (Mobile Phone)
Call of Duty: World at War (Mobile Phone)

And im talking about the flip phones that had Java games preinstalled and such.
I never thought I would bring those games up

I do see what you're saying though. It's not that CoD can't experiment though, it's just how there's such a cocky fanbase always pointing out little things. Stepping outside the box for them would cause people to just be confused and question the quality of the teams. Even though there is no quality from the teams huehuehuehuehuehue

WELL THEN

lol I owe you 15 pokemon games then. Check 'em

Pokemon TCG (GameBoy Color)
Pokemon Puzzle Challenge
Pokemon Dash
Pokemon Trozei
Pokemon Ranger

Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia
Pokemon Ranger Guardian Signs
Pokemon Rumble
Pokemon Rumble Blast
Pokemon Pinball

Pokemon Snap
HEY YOU PIKACHU
Pokemon Channel (look it up, it's for Gamecube)
My Pokemon Ranch

AND

Pokepark for Wii. There are 2 of those actually.

Couldn't use XD Gale of Darkness or any Mystery Dungeon Games, because even though they're REALLY different, they're still turn based. But I think you get my point. (also yo, mobile games??? I coulda just listed all the freakn' mobile and in-browser pokemon games like Dream World and crap. But no - those are all legit titles.)

I had a feeling you thought nobody would come up with those games.

I like Hey You Pikachu! and Pokemon Channel. Both games are geniously interactive, sort of like Nintendogs.
I feel like those two games were extremely based on communication with the player than being more interactive itself.

Just b/c CoD doesn't branch out doesn't mean that those offshoot Pokemon games have anything to do with Pokemon other than their names.

Pokemon as a brand isn't like CoD. The main games are. Minor changes mostly noticed by the hardcore crowd and used as an excuse to charge full price again for basically the same experience.

Just nopony complains because Nintendo is their god.

Hah - okay, not Pokemon but just the core games of the franchise are like CoD- is a much more accurate statement. I concur to a fair extent.
